Located on the West shore off RT 441 at Heagy-Burry Park

Located on the East shore off CR 325

Lake Notes:  Specializing in Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Black Crappie and Shellcracker.  Connects to Lake Lochloosa thru Cross Creek.  Average depth of 6 ft, with a max. depth of 13 ft.  The lake has many grass beds and submersed aquatic vegetation. 

Orange Lake Peak Fishing Times

Bluegills:  March-September, with the bedding periods of April-June as the peak months.

Shellcrackers:  April is the best month, closely followed by September.

Black Crappie:  Year-round. Peaks with spawning in December-March.

Bass:  Good year-round, if the angler understand how to fish the cover. Spawning occurs December-March. Wild shiners excellent January-April.
