Florida Keys Fishing

The Florida Keys are known for Great Sport Fishing
which makes it a prime fishing vacation destination.
The Florida Keys is a string of about 1700 islands on
the Southern end of Florida. The islands lie
along the Florida Straits, dividing the Atlantic Ocean
to the east from the Gulf of Mexico to the west.
More than 95 percent of the Florida Keys land area
lies in Monroe County, but a small portion extends
northeast into Miami-Dade County. The Florida
Keys have the only live coral reefs in the contiguous
48 states. The Keys are a picturesque series of rocky
islands thrown like a string of pears between land's
end and Key West, each of them ringed by shallow grass
flats, mangroves, and finger channels.
